Benefits of Stripe
Now you can link your Stripe account to Pet Sitter Plus so that your clients can authorise you to take payments on their behalf from their stored credit / debit cards.
Your clients do not need a Stripe account to pay you (just a valid credit / debit card).
After your clients have made their first payment using their credit / debit card, Pet Sitter Plus can (at your clients option) store their card details for future re-use either by you or by your client.
The card details are stored securely in a PCI compliant environments (not on Pet Software's servers).
No lengthy merchant account application.
With stripe there is no requirement to go through a lengthy application for a merchant account. Simply visit ADMIN > SUPPORTING DATA > PAYMENT CREDENTIALS, (in Pet Sitter Plus) click "Stripe" and then click "Connect with Stripe". Here you will find a straighforward Stripe account application form. After account authorisation you can start taking payments using Stripe right away.
No Monthly Merchant Account Fees
Unlike most other payment processors, with Stripe there are no monthly fees associated with a merchant account and Stripe does not charge for credits, refunds or failed payments. Stripe will only charge a fee when an approved / successful transaction takes place. Transaction fees vary depending on the country in which you reside. No more waiting for your clients to make payments.
With Stripe you are in control of when you take payments from your clients. Once you have your Stripe account in place you are able to proactively take payments from your clients credit / debit cards right away. All you need to do is invite your clients to store their credit / debit card details in their Pet Sitter Plus online account. Once these are stored, Pet Sitter Plus will provide a list of outstanding invoices where an active credit / debit card exists such that payment can then be taken through Stripe, it is possible for you to proactively take payments without further authorisation from your clients and to save time any number of payments can be taken in one action.
Account Summary - A Clear Statement of What your Client Owes
In addition to your ability to proactively take payments from your clients, your clients also have the same ability to make payments to you using Stripe. To do this they simply access their online account summary where they can view outstanding invoices and amounts. Here they have the option to proactively clear outstanding amounts using their stored credit / debit card details.
Automatic Receipt Posting
When your client pays you with Stripe the receipt is automatically apportioned to any outstanding invoices meaning you no longer have to waste time inputting cash receipts manually.
