< Pet Sitter Plus Release V4.5 with Online Scheduling in the Client Portal.

Introduction

We are pleased to announce the release of Pet Sitter Plus Version 4.5 featuring an amazing online scheduling function that allows your clients to book and cancel services from within their own online account. Once your clients have placed an online request for services, you will then receive a service request notification which you can process into your schedule without the need to re-key any information.

Finally your clients will receive an automatic confirmation that their service has been scheduled.

Online Scheduling within the client portal.

  • Client Portal Settings. The ability to turn on and off the new online scheduling and job cancellation functions.

  • Requesting Services. Your clients now have the option to request additional services online through a well designed and powerful online scheduler.

  • Service Request Processing. As a systems administrator, you are alerted to new service requests and have the ability to process them into your live schedule with the minimum of additional effort.

Other Enhancements

Other Issues Resolved

  • Use of double quotes in an email template. There has historically been a problem whereby the use of a double quote in an email template will cause the resulting email receive by the client to trucate at the double quote - meaning that all content after the double quote is not received. This has now been resolved.

  • Inactive staff showing in the "ADD NEW STAFF" dropdown. When creating use credentials for a new staff member - our clients were often assigning the credentials to the wrong person. This was due to the fact that inactive staff were showing in the staff drop down list. This is now resolved.

New Features In More Detail

Client Portal Settings.

Adding a huge amount of functionality to the cleint portal, your clients are now able to book and cancel services online. However, some of our clients inevitably will not want to implement this type of functionality or my want to phase its introduction. So there is now a "Client Portal Settings" control panel in PSP that enables you to switch online service requests and online service cancellations on or off as required.

Service Request Processing

Service requests are reviewed by administrators. Note that if the primary sitter on the related client record is "Not Set" then the requested services will have no pet sitter assigned by default and one will need to be assigned before jobs can be scheduled.

If a primary sitter has been assigned to the associated client record, then the same primary sitter will be assigned to the requested services by default and will be showing in the service request processing screen.

Finally, once a service request has been reviewed and the services assigned to a pet sitter, the jobs are then either added to an existing service order or to a new order.

It is at this point that the services first appear in both the admin diary and the pet sitter’s own diary.
